Sports Anchor/Reporter, part-time
Bell Media Vancouver
Location: Vancouver, BC
Salary: Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
* Producing, reporting and anchoring weekend sportscasts
* Generate story ideas
* Interview story subjects
* Script writing and voicing
* Interpreting and delivery accurate sports information with style
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Degree or diploma on Broadcasting or Journalism, or related news experience
* At least 3 years working in a newsroom environment
* Must have solid script writing and voicing skills
* Strong interest in and knowledge of sports
* Experience in “live” anchoring and reporting
* Self-directed, strong editorial judgment, proven ability to use sound and pictures to help tell a story
* Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
* Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
* Valid Class 5 driver’s license
