The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.

The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.

 

The Consumer Billing Delivery team, a unit of Information Technology, is a dynamic team comprised of project managers and business analysts accountable for the deliver of Consumer Billing projects. This team is responsible for the design, delivery and execution of IT Billing solutions within the One Bill and Bell Internet billing platforms.

 

We are looking for one highly motivated individual to fulfill the Business Analyst role on various projects.
 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will function in a project-based environment with the opportunity to oversee the changes to their assigned platforms/applications. The BA will work in conjunction with the Project Manager to produce high quality, cost effective, system requirements documentation.

 

In partnership with the Project Manager, the BA will be also be responsible for the successful outcome of the project solution, including oversight of system solution, test execution and timely delivery of the solution to production.

 

As a primary interface between the business sponsor and development teams, the BA is responsible to:

  • Facilitate, coordinate, participate in workshops/walkthroughs related to various project deliverables,
  • Negotiate and ensure correctness of business requirements,
  • Develop system requirements specification documents,
  • Negotiate alignment of system requirements between interface teams,
  • Validate the correctness of technical solutions,
  • Identify solution risks, mitigations and dependencies; supporting resolution with sponsors and project teams,
  • Provided solution insight to and ensure correctness of test activities/ documentation,
  • Provide solution insight to deployment activities/ documentation,
  • Support project functionality post deployment.

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Management of Information Systems (MIS), Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration University degree or equivalent experience related to IS/IT,
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Business Analyst; with a proven track record of successful project delivery in an IT environment,
  • Strong practical knowledge of Billing Systems,
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal skills; with the ability to work and learn as part of  a team,
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities with little direct supervision,
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills,
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Project, Power Point,
  • MS Access and SAS Programming skills would be an asset.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Business Analyst  Certification
  • Knowledge of Bell Project Interface Models/ Processes
  • Practical knowledge of One Bill
  • Practical knowledge of Bell Internet Ensemble
  • Bilingual (English / French)
