Responsibilities:
• Development & execution of promotional proposals that are presented to clients
• Preparing wrap up reports for larger scale promotions
• Manage staff for station promotions and appearances
• Liase with sales department in planning & executing sales driven promotions
• Preparing and executing weekly contest and promotional elements
• Assisting with the coordination and execution of promotions
• Preparing weekly promo reports detailing all upcoming promotional activities
• Assemble, manage, write weekly liner grid for on-air execution
• Representing the Promotions Department at external events and in various internal capacities
• Assist in support of station website and social media networks
• Provide excellent external and internal customer service
• Contributing to a positive workplace environment
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of broadcast or related promotion experience required
• Formal education from a recognized broadcast/communications program is an asset
• Able to work with minimal supervision but also function effectively in team-oriented situations
• Flexible with availability to work evenings and weekends
• Passionate about Promotions and Radio
• Outstanding computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including spelling, grammatical and proofreading ability
• Ability to perform administrative duties independently and efficiently
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Takes a detail-oriented, proactive approach to work
• Strong creative skills
• Ability to work under pressure, handle associated stress and react quickly and accurately to daily deadlines within a collaborative atmosphere
• Valid Driver’s License
