Sales Representative, Radio

Salary: Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Bell Media Vancouver has an exciting and rare opportunity for the right individual to join our high performing radio sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a portfolio of local advertisers to meet or exceed sales targets for 4 radio stations: TSN 1040/1410, 103.5 QM/FM, and The Beat 94.5.
- Provide business owners with creative, effective advertising and marketing solutions, acting as a resource to their business.
- Prepare and deliver compelling, strategic and solution-oriented proposals including appropriate research data.
- Provide quality service with a focus on client retention through regular and systematic contact with active and potential advertisers.
- Complete a minimum of five new business face-to-face calls per week.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings; liaise with and create trusted working relationships with co-workers including Creative, Traffic and Accounting.
- Facilitate the collection of overdue accounts.
- Other activities in support of station success.
Qualifications:
- Passion for superior quality customer service, derived from ethic of “doing the right thing”.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with demonstrated success in negotiating and assisting clients.
- Well versed in consultive selling process.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure of constant deadlines.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of five to seven years’ experience in radio/media sales.
- Drivers’ licence, vehicle required.
