Name and description of the hiring department :
MACAM – Measure and Analysis Center - The MACAM group (Measure and Analysis Center) deals with principles/management rules in relation with business measures request by the high management or business units.
This position is ideal for whoever is looking for a job in a dynamic and very motivating environment. The chosen candidate must have a large knowledge of SQL data bases and Web programming.
Job duties / accountabilities :
- Data manipulation and queries on different types of data bases
- Modeling, design and development of BI solutions
- Develop Web tools like scorecards, dashboards and Web forms
- Find solutions for improvement and optimisation of different applications
- Validate results for the processes in place (availability and reliability)
- Work closely with Business Analysts in order to maintain the integrity of business rules
- Create technical documentation and user guides
Essential skills / competencies :
- D.E.C. in computer science or equivalent experience
- Advance programming skills in SQL: MS SQL server
- Knowledge of data transformation tools: Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Knowledge of BI (Business Intelligence) , data modeling and ETL (Extract Transform Load)
- Knowledge of OLAP CUBE (Dimension, Cube, Fact table etc.) and MDX language
- Appropriate French and English communication (3-3-3 verbal and written)
- Must be an excellent listener, must rapidly understand the client’s needs in order to propose better solutions and therefore answer their needs
- Strong sense of details and precision
- Team player, dynamic and motivated
- Able to accept responsibilities, to rapidly take decisions and respect due dates
- Have a critical thinking about analysis and problem solving
- Ability to work under pressure in order to meet short due dates
- Must be well organised, efficient in planning and managing priorities
Preferred skills / competencies:
- Knowledge in operational group process would be an asset
- Knowledge of SAS programming and SAS tool Data Integration Studio
- Knowledge of Teradata
- Knowledge of Oracle
- SQL Database management and Oracle
- Advance programming skills in VB.NET, ASP.Net
- Knowledge of C#
Working conditions :
- Occasional overtime depending on the business needs
