Position: Summer Cruiser (Temporary Summer position)
Location: Vernon, British Columbia

Sun FM in Vernon has a great opportunity for an energetic junior broadcaster to join our team for the summer, gain some great experience in broadcasting, and soak up some sunshine at the same time!
Responsibilities:
In this job you will:
- Represent the station at events happening in and around the community
- File on-air reports as required
- File weekly written and image reports
- Coordinate and plan event itinerary weekly with Promotions Coordintor
- Maintain promotional inventory and community cruiser vehicle
- Post schedule and blog on station website, Facebook and Twitter plus
- Be responsible for equipment set up/take down for all Vernon events
- Fill-in for vacation relief
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends including statutory holidays all summer
Skill requirements:
- Reliable, organized and punctual
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possesses the maturity to work without supervision in an independent setting
- Knowledge of stations and stations audience
- Positive, friendly and fun demeanour
- Attention to detail
- Basic computer skills required inclusive of Word, Excel and Outlook
- A valid BC driver’s license and safe driving record
- Street level promotions experience, with ability to problem solve and deal with adversity
- At least 1 year of Broadcasting college or equivalent on air experience
