Location: 299 Queen St, W. Toronto
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.  Overtime as required.

 

Responsibilities:
• Initiate, negotiate and oversee local sponsorships and philanthropic activities for CP24, Toronto’s Breaking News, adhering to Bell Media’s corporate business priorities and social investment strategy (e.g. St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Pride Toronto, Scotiabank Caribbean Carnival, Taste of the Danforth, etc.)
• Assist with national sponsorships, including Bell Let’s Talk Day, Walk so Kids Can Talk, Culture Days, etc. 
• Consolidate and coordinate national efforts across local properties
• Work closely with the Manager, Community Investment on the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish holiday campaign
• Work closely with Sales/Brand Partnerships to couple sponsorship resources with paid inventory to exploit national revenue generating sponsorship opportunities
• Oversee local talent charitable and industry appearances
• Assist in development of strategically brand-aligned public service announcements
• Vet externally produced national public service announcements for potential airtime allocation
• Act as company spokesperson and main point of contact to a wide a range of external organizations and agencies, developing lasting, mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships
• Assist the Manager, Community Investment with drafting  comprehensive and legally-binding sponsorship agreements
• Oversee the development of all promotional materials related to local sponsorship entitlements, including ad development and logo placements
• Police use of company markings on all externally generated promotional items
• Act as official company representative at sponsored events
• Implementation and policing of comprehensive giving policy
• Other duties as required

 

Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Broadcast Journalism
• Minimum one year post-internship work experience, preferably in broadcasting or media
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent writing/editing skills
• Highly motivated, independent worker
• Must have excellent computer and research skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Capacity to work effectively with others
• Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and multi-task, with limited direct supervision
