Our Network team plans, designs, builds and operates Bell’s multi-billion dollar networks, including the continued expansion of our fibre optic network, HSPA+ and LTE — Canada’s largest and fastest wireless network.

NM WEST is responsible for design, build and capacity management of the Access and Core Wireline Network in Western Canada (Manitoba to BC). This Network carries voice, internet and dedicated data services to deliver Bell services to small, medium and large businesses.
Job Duties/Accountabilities :
As a member of the NM West team you will be involved with a number of projects that will assist the team in managing the Network.
Primary accountability will include data quality review of network site capabilities database.
Other projects will include review/assessment of Bell building POP sites for opportunities to consolidate/reduce lease costs. Additionally, we will look to your assistance in development of capacity management tools and reporting.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
We are looking for an individual who is ready to learn and is not afraid to ask questions. We expect that the Telco world presents new language and terminology not found in university text books
We are looking for an individual who is self motivated and can operate with minimal supervision.
- Strong PC skills
- Ideal candidate has a strong background with Microsoft Office Suite. Primarily Excel and Visio.
- Network: Basic knowledge of telecommunication and network elements.
- Capacity to learn new systems and software management tools
- Positive attitude
- Autonomous and responsible
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visio
