Position: Marketing Coordinator, Music & Entertainment Channels
Location: 299 Queen St, W. Toronto
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
As part of the Specialty Marketing team, this position is responsible for the daily execution of the consumer based marketing activity for M3 and E! Accountable to the Marketing Manager in the development and execution of cross-business marketing programs, on-air events, consumer advertising and promotions for M3 and E! Including interfacing with external partners and internal resources.
Additional responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Marketing briefs, briefing creative and design teams (and other departments as needed) on Marketing Strategy and messaging pertaining to consumer marketing and digital activities
- Liaising between departments to successfully execute cohesive marketing activities
- Establishing and communicating programming priorities and maintaining on-air promo optimization to ensure properties are being supported effectively
- Developing social marketing initiatives and strategies to drive traffic to the M3 & E! social and digital properties and to support the long term health of these social and digital brands
- Support for Manager in building and providing research for external media requests and other research support for Music & Entertainment channel related initiatives
- Working with Manager to build and maintain comprehensive Marketing Plans for channel and brand priorities via consumer marketing (traditional & digital) and Social Media Manager
- Gathering and distributing promotional materials between departments
- General support for Manager as needed
Qualifications:
- College degree in Marketing, Media Studies or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in marketing, social media advertising, research, brand management
- Understanding of traditional media and how to integrate with digital and social media
- Experience in developing, tracking and analyzing quantitative and qualitative information
- Diplomatic, action-oriented, creative and a team-player
- Must possess strong time management and organizational skills, handling multiple projects with a variety of deadline priorities
- Ability to offer creative solutions in a timely and effective manner
- Must be extremely self-motivated, goal oriented with an ability to work independently
- A self-starter with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Hootsuite, Sysomos and all social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Tumblr)
