Responsibilities :
- Edit stories and programs in accordance with staff needs and specifications, while maintaining high technical standards;
- Work with staff to provide them with a high quality of service and excellent finished product;
- Effective operation and use of broadcast hardware including Avid and After Effects non-linear editing softwares, audio consoles, waveform monitors, and vectorscopes;
- Working in a networked environment, audio mixing and color correcting;
- Train and supervise Bell Local volunteers;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary education with emphasis on technical and production standards is preferred, as well as a high degree of creativity and organizational skills;
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in non linear and advanced television production techniques is required;
- Excellent editing skills, particularly on Avid and FinalCut Pro Systems;
- Experience with Sony XDcam and EX series product lines will be an asset;
- Thorough knowledge of video and audio signals and their routing;
- Awareness of important community based stories & events;
- Strong storytelling skills;
- Ability to effectively use Avid-Plugins;
- The ability to work independently in a fast paced environment under strict deadlines;
- Experience in training others an asset;
- Fluently bilingual in French and English.
