Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for Camera operations to create programs and other content for Bell Local Television;
  • Prepare, align, set up, carry and operate a portable electronic camera and recording unit complete with lighting and audio needs for field reports both pre-recorded and live to air;
  • Consult with producers and other production personnel to provide creative input to the production of programs;
  • Supervise and train volunteers;
  • Assist in the editing and assembly of programs;
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications :

 

  • College level television diploma or equivalent education;
  • Minimum of 3 years broadcasting experience in a news environment;
  • Experience with the operation of a  DSLR and Super35 cameras (C300 or SF7 type cameras) is essential;
  • Experience with Sony XDcam and EX series product lines will be an asset;
  • Linear and non-linear Edit skills an asset;
  • Ability to deal with new and developing technology;
  • Knowledge of file based workflows an asset;
  • Excellent concentration and co-ordination skills;
  • Strong people skills;
  • Experience with community TV organizations an asset;
  • Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record;
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English and successfully pass a proficiency test.
