Our Network team plans, designs, builds and operates Bell’s multi-billion dollar networks, including the continued expansion of our fibre optic network, HSPA+ and LTE — Canada’s largest and fastest wireless network.

The IP Network team is part of Bell’s Network Technology & Planning organization and is directly responsible for key IP services, security and network infrastructure including IP VPN, Bell Internet and IP/MPLS Core Network. This career opportunity is searching for a dynamic, innovative, and experienced team member that can take on responsibility for directing and guiding the delivery of security solutions for multiple initiatives (e.g. Cyber Threat Intelligence and Network 3.0).
Generally, the candidate will:
- Develop security architectures, guide and support the deployment of security solutions for Bell’s current and next generation IP services for external and internal use.
- Work with and within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Mentor, train and coach individuals.
- Remain current in security certification(s).
- Candidate responsibilities will include:
- Understand and assess the Threat landscape and the associated trends.
- Defining requirements, architecture and design for security solutions with a focus on Cyber Threat Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cloud and Virtualization Technology and Infrastructure Protection solutions i.e. Firewalls, VPNs, VOIP, Intrusion prevention/detection, Access controls, Perimeter security, Secure content including Network Access Control (NAC), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), etc.
- Design networks and security systems with specifications of equipment, software and infrastructure.
- Test, recommend and support in procurement of new security technology solutions.
- Responsible for the scope, financial, delivery and quality associated with various initiatives assigned.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- 10+ years in experience in networking for IT with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in providing detailed technical architecture expertise on security solutions within large corporate environment with a strong customer focus on solution implementation.
- Strong business acumen, broad technical experience and ability to work with product management to develop new security offerings.
- Experience in providing detailed technical architecture and integration expertise with major Vendor solutions (i.e. Cisco, HP, McAfee, RSA, EMC, Redhat, VMware, IBM, Cloudera, etc.)
- Expertise in data centre technologies including server, storage and network platforms.
- Experience with security systems testing, programming and data analytics.
- Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Post-secondary degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Additional industry recognized technical certifications/designations such as Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP); Project Management Professional (PMP) is a definite asset.
- Knowledge and experience with architecture, design and operation of Bell Canada’s IP and security network infrastructures is an asset.
