*** This is a full time opportunity for a Director of Promotions & Marketing overseeing our Hamilton & St. Catharines stations ***
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Programming and Sales departments to create promotions/contests and ensure opportunities to generate revenue.
- Develop and lead a team of dedicated employees in both the Hamilton and St Catharines markets.
- Oversee all promotions and staffing involved, ensuring all elements are executed smoothly.
- Assist in establishing and working within the annual marketing and promotion budget.
- Liaise with clients, prospective clients, and listeners on site, over the phone and on line.
- Attend major station promotions and client promotions as required.
- Will be required to work extended hours to oversee promotions. This includes evenings & weekends as needed.
Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience managing radio promotions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work well as a team member and independently as a leader with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), understanding of best practices for utilizing Social Communities, Wide Orbit a plus.
- Outstanding ability to manage time, budgets and people.
- Positive attitude with massive creativity and organizational skills with an unparalleled desire to win.
