The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.
The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.

Key Responsibilities:
We are offering this exciting Business Analyst opportunity to a highly motivated, creative, and disciplined recent graduate that possesses an exceptional positive attitude. This role will require you to work closely with other team members such as solutions architects, project managers, and developers, our new BA will be accountable to gather, document, and analyse systems requirements for developing and implementing solutions for IT’s business partners.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Interpret conceptual business needs and document requirements
- Ability to query, collect and evaluate data from multiple sources
- Gather and analyze requirements to create a business requirements document
- Acquire deep knowledge of systems and their interdependencies to drive improved efficiencies
- Ability to facilitate work sessions and interview subject matter experts to identify project requirements
- Development and documentation of System Requirements Specification
- Understand technical designs and specifications and comply to architecture models
- Identify, evaluate and document operational changes to improve information and processing systems
- Drive the technical resolution of issues arising from changes to scope, requirements, design, etc
- Identify and quantify risks relevant to business and systems requirements
- Maintain productive professional client relationships
- Resolve conflicts between differing requirements presented by business versus IT
- Create or support in the development of the test plan and test cases cases including defining test conditions, negative testing and regression testing
Required Competencies:
- A Bachelor degree in an area such as IT, information systems, computer science, engineering completed by the position start date
- Have an analytical ability to extract, integrate, conceptualize and apply ideas, processes and information to create solutions in a constantly changing technological and business environment
- Be skilled in business process modelling and business process documentation
- Effectively negotiate and positively influence decision making to drive change
- Be a dynamic collaborator with multiple project team members (project managers, other BA’s, architecture, business sponsors, etc.) and effectively balance competing priorities and timelines
- Effectively communicate with internal IT teams, vendors, and the business requirements, gaps, technical solutions, defects, and risks
- Have the ability to identify, explore and evaluate options on processes, methodologies and information technology solutions in order to support the design of new business systems and develop feasible recommendations
- Be highly self-motivated and self-directed with proven leadership skills
- Have strong attention to detail
- Independently prioritize and organize workload to meet deadlines within budget and successfully complete projects in a changing environment
- Have ability to motivate team and promote team spirit
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills; being able to explain and present technical information in a clear, accurate and understandable manner
- Effectively troubleshoot and learn new technologies
- Be comfortable challenging the status quo and think outside the box
- Software development life cycle and project management lifecycle comprehension
Preferred competencies:
- Experience in a similar environment through co-op terms or summer jobs
- Previous knowledge of the telecommunications industry
- Familiarity with programming languages is highly recommended
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
