The Bell Residential Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace. The team provides customers with Bell Home phone, local and long distance services, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV.
The Bell Residential Services Ordering and Billing team is a fast paced, dynamic team which initiates and delivers projects to enhance both customer and agent experience, drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiencies, improve system performance and prevent revenue leakage for the consumer segment. Our projects are cross-functional in nature, with multiple stakeholders including consumer call center, retail and online channels to name a few.
Position Description:
The Ordering and Billing Project Manager is responsible for planning, resourcing and overseeing project activities. This person is also accountable for identifying and mitigating project (financial and operational) risks, delivering the projects on time, and within capital and expense budgets. Excellent communications abilities are a must.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Managing project schedules – ensures that project timelines are established and published and assists with the determination of a project scope that is scheduled in manageable components
- Managing project financials – oversees the forecasting, tracks budgets; analysis and communications assessed, documented and managed through to completion
- Managing risk – communications and tracking of overall project risk
- Managing status and communication – accountable to pull together overall project status, communications materials for executive review
- Managing change – accountable for the efficient and timely management of the change management process – ensures all project change requests are well understood.
- Partnering - working closely with the business stakeholders and the IT teams to mitigate project risk and maintain momentum.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and business acumen – BRS ordering and/or system knowledge an asset
- Ability to manage ambiguity, uncertainty and changing priorities
- Team player and ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and multiple projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to listen, understand, and respond both appropriately and effectively
- 2-3 years of project management experience
- A university degree in business administration, computer science, or engineering; or equivalent post secondary education and/or work experience.
- Strong PowerPoint presentation- building skills; ability to produce executive quality presentations
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Other Qualifications/Competencies:
- Project Management certification e.g. PMP, ITIL (an asset)
- SAP, PEATS and internal Bell Policies.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and/or other project management tools
Working Conditions:
- Ability to efficiently work in virtual teams, handling multiple projects and aggressive timelines
- Fast paced, changing working environment, interfacing with a myriad of stakeholders
