Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.
Job Duties/ Accountabilities:
- Act as the principal contractor with the Sales team in analyzing customers’ business needs, identifying issues, conducting feasibility studies, and making technical recommendations. The candidate’s role is to assist customers in developing complex technological solutions and ensuring their full satisfaction, in the short, medium and long term.
- Assume responsibility for technological directions and for the design of the overall and detailed architectural plans for IP telephony and convergence systems (video, messaging, collaboration tools, etc).
- Act as technical authority to customers with regard to IP telephony and convergence.
- Communicate with the Product Management and Solution Development teams
- Develop, install and configure, at the architecture and integration levels, AVAYA UC and contact centre solutions.
- Lead and participate in functional analysis of , AVAYA UC, Verint and contact centre solutions.
- Produces feasibility and effort estimates.
- Collaborates closely with the Sales and Project Management teams.
- Plans solution delivery steps, deployment phases, quality assurance guidelines, and identifies delivery team members.
- Technology Lead of the integration team to ensure delivery.
- Promote and identify consulting opportunities and complete mandates assigned by customers.
- Expert level IP telephony troubleshooting in a large scale network environment.
- Strong Technical Account management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Your qualifications/ competencies are:
- Technical skills with regard to IP telephony and convergence products and services from Avaya Systems, Microsoft and Avaya
- Expertise in IP telephony protocols: SIP, H.323, RTP, G.711, G.729, etc.
- Knowledge of application services and products supporting IP telephony: TFTP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Windows Server 2003/10, LINUX, etc.
- Knowledge of telephony services and standards (key systems, PBX, E.164, PSTN, Centrex, DID, FAX, 911, CDR, etc.)
- In depth knowledge of the AVAYA suites, with a combination of the following:
- Communication Manager 5.2/6.x
- System Manager 6.x
- Session Manager 6.x
- Session Boarder Controller
- Modular Messaging 5.2
- Application Enablement Services (AES)
- Call Management System (CMS)
- Call Center Elite
- Voice Portal
- Interaction Center
- Operational Analyst
- Work Force Management
- Avaya Aura Contact Center
- B5800 Branch Gateway
- Knowledge of the other contact solution products that can be integrated to the AVAYA solutions. [ Interactive Voice Response applications (IVR) and Computer Telephony (CTI)].
- In depth knowledge of the Verint Ultra 10 & 11 Call Recording solution and NICE IEX TotalView Workforce Management tool.
- Flexibility, mobile and desire to work on different types of projects (development, integration & configuration) within different regions across Canada.
- Strong customer skills, with work experience at customer sites
- LAN and IP internetworking
- Computer Science or Engineering background
Knowledge and training required:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or a graduate of a specialized technical school
- Expert Level Avaya Systems certification ( ACE IPT, ACS IPT Design, ACS IPT Implementation)
- Recognized certifications from the main product manufacturers (Avaya, Microsoft, Avaya, etc.)
- Knowledge of office system software (MS Office, Internet Explorer, Visio)
- Business acumen
Experience required:
- Seven years’ experience in designing and deploying solutions related to IP telephony and convergence technologies
- Three years’ experience in pre-sales and direct customer relations
- Pertinent experience in the field of consulting services
- Typically requires (degree) or equivalent plus 5-10 years experience in a network engineering or telecommunications support environment.
