The Products and Services team at Bell Mobility is a motivated and talented group that works in an ever-changing, fast paced environment that touches many aspects of the wireless business. The candidate is responsible for driving business development activities across the Products and Services team. This includes consumer focused products such as Mobile TV, business solutions such as IoT, and MDM, as well as new revenue initiatives. Responsibilities include; market research to identify new partnership opportunities; development and presentation of business cases and negotiation strategies; contract negotiation; and ongoing evaluation of contract costs and value to the business. This candidate will report to the Sr. Manager, Business Development and will work very closely with the Director of Product Marketing and other Directors of Product Management and their respective teams.
Responsibilities:
The Business Development Product Manager will be responsible for the following activities:
- Opportunity Assessments: Review and identify new partnership opportunities through ongoing market research and collaboration with internal product management teams.
- Develop POVs on Negotiations: Develop partner profiles, summary of key business terms and planned negotiation approach for review with the leadership team.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead or support contract negotiations with partners in conjunction with the Bell legal team. Draft long form agreements, working through business and legal issues as they arise in order to complete agreements and support product management initiatives in a timely manner.
- Ongoing Evaluation and Maintenance of Existing Agreements: Monitor all existing agreements to ensure business volumes and costs are aligned with expectations. Support renewals, terminations and any other partnership issues as they arise. Manage contract filing system, updating databases with appropriate details at timely intervals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree, preferably in business
- Minimum 3 – 5 years business development experience (including contract negotiation)
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong ability to work with other groups to deliver results
- Strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Excellent time management/prioritization
- Ability to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment
