Position: Director, Toronto Local Sales

Location: 50 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto ON

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: Full Time

 

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Senior Vice-President CTV Sales, the Director, Toronto Local Sales plays a crucial role in two vitally important areas: people leadership and revenue

Specific responsibilities will include:

 

- Leading and supporting the sales team to exceed local revenue targets on CTV Toronto, CTVTwo Toronto and CP24

- Providing creative insights, coaching, mentoring and development to all team members

- Creating strategic opportunities to grow revenue and share through combined selling of television, digital and brand partnerships assets

- Execution of account planning, account management, quantitative and qualitative research tools, and cultivation of key accounts and growth categories

- Through use of market research, identify trends and future revenue opportunities

- Work with other internal stakeholders (e.g. Research, News, Marketing etc.) to deliver both internal and customer objectives

- Work with SVP CTV Sales and Revenue Management to maximize pricing and inventory utilization

- Customer relationship building and management; delivering best in class customer experience

- Managing expense budgets and administrative aspects of the team


Qualifications:

- Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Business or related degree from a recognized post-secondary institution;

- Minimum of 10 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably within the media environment;

- Minimum of 5 years in sales management or supervision;

- A track record of achieving profitable sales growth  and leading a team of experienced sales professionals with a strong emphasis on revenue growth, industry leading customer service and building a team environment

- Deep knowledge of television and digital industry and products; and the competitive landscape

- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with demonstrated success in negotiating and working with customers to achieve results

- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure of constant deadlines

- Completed post-secondary education from recognized institution

- Financial acumen with strong decision making skills
