The Information Technology team develops and maintains Bell’s internal systems and applications while also developing integrated technology solutions for customers across all lines of business.
The team manages Bell’s IT Infrastructure and the service availability of over 700 applications, including mission critical billing and service systems. The IT delivery teams drive the IT Work Program with over 60% of IT capital invested in initiatives that support business unit priorities and Bell’s strategic imperatives.
Bell Information Technology – Digital Customer Experience team is responsible for the delivery of web and mobile based self serve applications that serve wireless, residential and business markets. Bell.ca, BBM Bell.ca, Virginmobile.ca, and Solo.ca are key sites, along with the MyBell Mobile and My Account Virginmobile apps that are supported.
Reporting to the Program Manager and working on the direction from the Project Manager, the Business Analyst is responsible for the analysis and development of System Requirements Specifications, Use Cases and Acceptance Test Criteria, for existing and new systems within Bell. The BA will also participate in the development and/or review of Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Wireframes, System Design, System and User Acceptance test planning and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business clients and DCX Technical primes to write Systems Requirements based on approved Business Requirements
- Work with business clients and Web Experience designers to Develop Use Cases
- Participate in the review of web layout / presentation, ensuring that Use Cases and SRS are consistent with the presentation
- Review and evaluates the vendor’s work deliverables (SDS), to ensure the System Requirements are met
- Work with vendor(s) to elaborate on alternatives to satisfy the System Requirements
- Partners with PM to manage Risk, Schedule, Quality and Change thru the project Life-cycle
- Develop Test criteria and provides input to the Test Plans and Deployment Plan
- Reviews and signs off on test cases
- SFT & Normalization Support to drive a zero project defect launch
- Partner with vendors/Business to prime and resolve defects and participate as required in creation of Business Process documents.
Level of Experience and Education Required:
- A post secondary degree in computer science with a business focus, and/or a business degree with a focus on computer science (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of telecommunications experience in either a business analysis or technical capacity
- Experience with complex web based or mobile app projects for business or consumer based retail or service companies
- Experience in Bell Canada Business Markets systems or Wireless or BRS systems, or billing would be beneficial
