The Role:
This is a challenging position for a customer-focused product manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering new products in the Telecom or Computing industry. You will partner with other high energy professionals who are passionate about contributing to Bell’s goal of being recognized as Canada’s leading Communications Company.
Working with the products and services team, you will be responsible the management and launch of new M2M/ IoT services and enablement platforms.
Performing this role involves experience in spearheading product management and development activities including developing product requirements, concept design and testing of new services; preparing business case justification for new product investments; and identifying launch strategies with the customer experience being paramount for all activities.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of the evolving trends in the M2M and IoT solutions and device markets
- Contribute to and management of IoT / M2M (Machine to Machine) product strategy and roadmap for select verticals
- Deliver on the product strategy in coordination with the various stakeholders in Bell
- Manage development and product releases with cross functional groups (i.e. engineering, billing, customer care, and sales)
- Work closely with integrators, vendors and internal teams to deploy and support our products
- Work closely with other global Telecom companies and key partners for solutions and devices that help enable IoT products
- Work closely with both consumers and enterprise partners depending on the focus of the vertical
- Work with cross-functional product teams to deliver customer-focused services with the desired deployment schedules
- Create product requirements documents and business cases for new products and enablement platforms
- Manage resolution of project and development issues
- Track and analyze performance of solutions through the various stages of the product lifecyle to help identify opportunities or areas of improvement
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly metric reports to monitor product life cycle
Experience / Core competencies
- Min 3-5 years of practical experience in product management and development. Experience in high tech industries preferred.
- Able to communicate and support suppliers, and partners as well as work closely with middle management teams
- Demonstrated problem solving, analytical and creative skills
- Technically inclined with an interest and ability to understand new mobile technology
- Ability to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Motivated and a self-starter and comfortable working independently
- Experience delivering solutions and/or recommendations to leadership team
