To support its growth, Bell Media is looking for a Creative Director and User Experience for its activities relating to Bell Media Quebec digitals properties and radio stations nationwide. He (she) is responsible for ensuring the supervision of the creative and user experience team consisting of web / application designers and ux specialist. The brand experience is at the heart of business needs, attention to adherence to established design standards, or create new templates for exclusively digital properties remain the foundation of job responsibilities.

 

Reporting directly to the Director of Digital Media and Engineering, the Creative and User Experience Director work closely with the product, content and the development / production teams. The function requires to integrate and apply the Agile development methodologies in all creative research approaches: analysis, prototyping interfaces in wire frame and visual layout. The creative exercise relies on user-centered design approach for modeling the user experience into a promotional or transactional innovative and efficient experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure growth and cohesion of the creation and user experience group
  • Collaborate in the needs analysis and strategic thinking related to Web development projects and mobile application
  • Listen, analyze and understand the challenges from customers and business partners
  • Supervise team in analyzing target audiences, their profiles and needs
  • Oversee compliance with the definitions and the evolution of web templates / mobile brands Bell Media Quebec
  • Monitor compliance and graphic charts in projects
  • Monitor compliance and graphic charts in daily maintenance and content creation
  • Facilitate collaboration with the interface development team to ensure optimum development of interfaces and user experiences
  • Oversee the creation of user experience and cross-platform design (web, mobile application)
  • Present innovative solutions to the team and to clients in a clear and concise manner
  • Supervise heuristic evaluations of websites / existing application and participation in the development of roadmaps and recommendations (personas, user testing, etc.)
  • Supervise information architectures (inventory of contents, site map, navigation model, features, information hierarchy)
  • Validate user experience models suggested by integrating best practices in terms of ergonomics, navigation and web accessibility (wireframe models
  • Supervise and navigable prototype of usability tests
  • Ensure consistency and usability of interfaces each website/apps according to standards and user-centered experience
  • Monitor and assist the development team throughout the project to ensure the quality of the user experience

 

Skills required:

  • Team Player of excellence, driven by intra and inter disciplinary and peer feedback to guide and motivate the growth of a multidisciplinary team
  • Leadership and autonomy
  • Excellent communicator
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in English and French. Must be able to manage communications effectively within a national organization
  • Possess strong organizational skills; must be able to simultaneously manage multiple competing products
  • 10 years in the design of digital graphics interfaces
  • 5 years of experience in managing digital development and team management
  • 5 years of mobile Web and application information architecture experience
  • 5 years experience in the media industry an asset
  • Attention to detail, conscientious.

  • Mastery of best practices in terms of ergonomics, navigation, user experience and web accessibility

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Control of Axure software or other software prototyping

  • Good knowledge of web and application production process

 

Education:

  • University degree in graphic design, ergonomics, cognitive science or other relevant discipline
  • Less education combined with relevant experience will be considered

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
