Actuarial Analyst, Pension (Montreal, QC, CA)

Corporate Groups offers best practice services to support the organization, including Finance, Legal & Regulatory, Brand, Corporate Services – including HR, Communications, Real Estate, Security and Procurement & Value Creation.

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Plan membership data analysis and preparation
  • Pension committees’ presentations
  • Collaboration with the external administrator to address day-to-day issues
  • Various tasks related to pension plan accounting
  • Mandates related to asset liability management
  • Special projects (e.g. pension plan mergers, acquisitions)

 

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in acquiring Defined Contributions Pension Plan expertise
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-pace and ambiguous environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and information effectively
  • To work and make decisions independently
  • High level of initiative, displaying the ability to recognize and anticipate what needs to be done
  • Be flexible and able to work with changing parameters
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional project teams & colleagues
  • Strong team orientation
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze results and provide recommendations
  • Strong sense of urgency; results and action oriented to deliver

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • University degree in mathematics
  • Minimum of 3 to 6 years of related experience
  • Willingness to specialize in Pension
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team spirit
  • High degree of proficiency in MS office applications (Excel, Access & Powerpoint)

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Global knowledge of pension
  • Bilingual (written and spoken)
