The Bell Mobility team offers a full range of wireless products and services for residential and business customers, including the largest selection of superphones on the fastest and most advanced network technology.
The National Retail Sales Execution team is seeking a dynamic, innovative and strategic marketing specialist to define, develop and execute targeted retail programs to drive wireless acquisition in Bell’s retail partner banners.
Reporting directly to the Manager of Retail Execution, the ideal candidate is an experienced retail marketer, with a strong understanding of the wireless industry and demonstrated success channel marketing and promotions. The successful candidate needs to be capable of soliciting feedback from retailers, field sales teams, and National Account managers to formulate concepts and retail programs that deliver results. Understanding the big picture is important, but developing custom tactical programs that ladder up to broader campaign themes is the ultimate goal.
Working closely with the marketing execution team, for both Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile, is the candidate will champion retail programs for key National Retail partners. As an advocate for both the Bell and Virgin Mobile brand, driving share growth on the sales floor will be a paramount focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally with marketing execution, market insight, product, pricing, and marketing communications teams, develop and execute integrated retail programs
- Identify and define key retail tactics to enabling new opportunities to drive wireless acquisition, by leveraging key marketing pillars and assets
- Work hand in hand with product and pricing teams to create attractive, relevant and revenue positive offers
- Develop and create clear and concise marketing briefs, working with marketing communication/brand to create market ready content for retail channel consumption
- Define measures of success and acquisition/sales targets by channel and product and track results accordingly, altering approach as needed
- Create compelling and strategic retail facing presentations to drive buy in and alignment across business units and retail partners.
- Actively contribute to the overall retail execution plan
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of management experience in a marketing/retail programs role (wireless and/or telco an asset)
- Retail marketing experience required
- Experienced in developing integrated marketing/retail programs
- Strong cross functional skills to influence marketing concepts
- Experience and understanding of the marketing planning lifecycle and key business units such as product, pricing and marketing communications
- Strong financial acumen
- Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to get things done by influence
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally & externally at every level of the organization, Senior Executives included.
- Highly creative with the ability to think outside the box when developing concepts, approach and offers
- University education; MBA an asset
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
