Includes corporate and operational finance, internal teams support, the controllers group, internal audit and risk advisory services, taxation, treasury, corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
The Revenue Assurance (“RA”) Unit is part of Finance with the mandate to identify, recover and prevent revenue leakage across the various Business markets. The Revenue Assurance team is focused on improving profitability by maximizing revenues and minimizing costs. The team partners with a wide variety of stakeholders such as Product Management, Marketing, Finance, System and Technology, Operations, Customer Care, vendors and external consultants.
The objectives of the Manager Revenue Assurance are:
- Identify and assess potential revenue leakage opportunities and perform diagnostics to determine revenue potential and project feasibility.
- Contribute significantly to district revenue targets.
- Act as a change agent to improve billing accuracy and participate in new service/feature introduction to mitigate revenue leakage.
- Influence the development and implementation of business processes/infrastructure from pre-sales to collection.
- Produce and manage exception lists/data for action by business units, partners or suppliers
- Lead cross-functional resources on multiple, concurrent revenue recovery projects.
- Establish and maintain communication plan with relevant revenue assurance partners.
- Input monthly to routine performance reporting.
- Provide reports on project status and maintain Project Management workbook.
Critical Qualifications/ Competencies:
- Established track record in the co-ordination of Cross Functional and Virtual teams
- Proven Project Management skills (3+ years experience)
- Strong business analysis and process skills
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective research, analyze and communicate results
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal partners and external consultants or suppliers
- Critical thinking skills with a demonstrated judgement to know relevant questions to ask and assemble the right individuals to provide responsive solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Order and Billing systems (OrderMax, Ensemble, CBSS)
- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Deadline driven and detail oriented
- Strong sense of urgency and willingness to take initiative
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills, including ability to produce professionally written analytical reports.
Additional Requirements:
- University degree in business, IT, Engineering or Finance or equivalent business experience
- 3 years Project Management or Business Analyst experience
- PMP certification or Business Analyst Business Certificate an asset
- Knowledge of Wireless Billing and Order Management systems an asset
- OneBill, Ensemble, SingleView, Phoenix (CPM Web)
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of telecommunications industry preferred
