Within the Bell Business Markets Finance group, this Finance Associate Director role is critical in the overall financial management of the Bell Business Market Large Quebec & Alberta Sales team. We are looking for a dynamic and responsible self-starter, who is detail-oriented and can work collaboratively with others while managing a team of 3+ direct reports. The candidate will work closely with the Quebec & Alberta Sales team (1 VP, 6 directors and approximately 150 sellers) on a day to day basis to provide financial guidance, support and insight in running the Large Quebec & Alberta Market business.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Work closely with the Quebec & Alberta Sales VP as a financial advisor for key decisions relating to the business.
- Coordinate the revenue planning and forecasting for a $600M business with the Sales VP and directors.
- Produce timely, accurate financial reporting and analysis as required for sales funnel, forecast, and revenues vs. plan.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and create special reports to support decision making, facilitate issue resolution, highlight areas for focus, and ultimately assist Sales to achieve their targets.
- Lead the target assignment exercise for all Quebec & Alberta Market sellers (core reps, solution specialists and CSE/architects).
- Responsible for calculating and administering sales bonus plan compensation.
- Interface with sales and the Controllers group to obtain revenue recognition on large and/or complex deals.
- Oversee the maintenance of the Quebec & Alberta Market organization structure in support of the various reporting systems.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- 5-10 years of financial/accounting experience
- Confident with strong leadership and communication/presentation skills
- Diplomatic and assertive, able to interface with senior management
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly motivated, pro-active, ability to multi-task and to adapt to a complex and changing environment
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Flexible schedule
- Experience managing people
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Good understanding of revenue recognition principles
- Bilingual (French and English)
