We have an opportunity for a leading edge Architect like you, to become an essential part of our  Pre-sales Engineering team.

The role of  Account Architect is a client facing role, whereby you will have the over-arching responsibility of pulling together the brightest technical minds for the purpose of creating best in class solutions. As you use your creativity to meet the technical needs of the Provinces Public Sector Organization, you will have  ample opportunity to grow your own knowledge, consult with sales and technical experts,  gain exposure to senior leadership, and ultimately present your designs, thus exceeding our client`s expectations.

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
 

  • Primarily delivering pre-sales support to Sales teams, internal partners and our Enterprise customers
  • Translating the  customer’s business needs into technical solutions
  • Delivering Data, Voice, ICT, Architectural and Network recommendations and technical direction/leadership to Enterprise accounts. Including responses to formal customer proposals - (RFP’s,RFQ’s,RFI’s)
  • Producing a high level Scope of Work, creating technical roadmaps and conducting technical presentations to internal/external customers
  • Providing timely technical consultation to sales, internal partners and our customers
  • Remaining current with evolving telecommunications and IT technologies, and maintaining your individual technical skills and certifications

 

Key indicators of your performance include:
 

  • Utilize your knowledge of  technologies such as Network, Unified Communications, Wireless, Data Centre and Security to lead resources in each area towards a comprehensive customer solution
  • Increase the level of  service to our customers through the use of your strong interpersonal communications, presentations and customer relations skills
  • Display your technical design expertise with a strong understanding of advanced Data (LAN/WAN),IP Networks with converged integration with Voice applications, security solutions, data centre experience, wireless. All amounting to your having the duty of approving the final design to be put into production
  • Strong knowledge of vendor hardware and software solutions such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, etc.
  • Knowledge of Telecom network centric products and services
  • Utilize your ability to be proactive to drive each solution to completion in a timely manner, mobilizing the necessary internal resources and thus enhancing the customer experience.
     

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
 

  • Proficiency in VoIP UC Telephony is an asset. With relevant experience in IPT communications associated to Cisco Unified Communications
  • Previous sales and customer interface experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, giving you the depth necessary to understand and lead our technical resources.
  • Industry recognized certifications such as:
    • Cisco Certified Voice/Network/Design Professional
    • Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert
    • CISSP
    • Microsoft Lync
