The Bell Residential Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace.  The team provides customers with Bell Home phone, local and long distance services, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV.

 

Role Description 

The Atlantic Residential Marketing team is seeking an experienced, innovative, and dynamic senior manager to lead the Planning and Forecasting team. This leader will manage short and long term unit forecasting for all product lines. They will lead a team of 3 marketing professionals responsible for development and ongoing management of unit forecasts, results reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly), and various business performance analysis activities.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop short and long range unit forecasts for all Residential products (Home Phone, TV, and Internet)
  • Compile comprehensive results reporting and analysis for weekly, monthly and quarterly reviews
  • Ensure all forecasting and results deliverables are delivered accurately and within agreed-upon timelines
  • Track and regularly report key drivers (activations and deactivations) of unit performance
  • Analyze business performance to determine issues/opportunities and inform marketing decisions
  • Present key findings to management teams and business stakeholders
  • Coordinate Atlantic segment inputs for all corporate planning deliverables (business plan, strategic plan, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain footprint segmentation to enable clear understanding of business performance in various markets
  • Rationalize new reporting/data requirements to avoid data duplication and consistency across reporting
  • Direct management of three managers

 

Critical Competencies:

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 5+ years in Telecommunications industry, with strong knowledge of marketing and experience in forecasting
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, particularly in the area of market (competitor/industry) analysis, with an ability to extract strategic themes and quickly draw meaningful conclusions
  • Solid business acumen – with a demonstrated ability for finding creative solutions to problems
  • Excellent presentation skills and demonstrated ability to synthesize complicated information
  • Team player and quick learner with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, be a self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong statistical, interpretative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, Cognos
