The Finance team supports the operational effectiveness of the company. The team is involved in analyzing financial figures, metrics and system and process issues to support major decisions within the business. The key groups within the Finance team include corporate and operational finance, internal teams support, the controllers group, internal audit and risk advisory services, taxation, treasury, corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.

 

The Role:

This is a key Senior Leadership role within Bell Media’s Finance team, providing business and financial support to internal clients and actively contributing to financial management of the business unit. With is team of three finance manager, the senior manager serves as finance partner and will support Advertising Revenues Sales team.

 

Reporting and controls:

  • Create and develop a brand new management reporting package to serve operational and finance executives.
  • Design an effective month end process in order to provide variance analysis and any other required information on a timely manner.
  • Create, develop and evaluate current internal control around contractual agreement with major agencies;
  • Support and participate to the strategic discussion around all regulatory matters that may influence the business model.
  • Sustain all variance analysis with business operations metrics and drivers;

 

Planning and budget management:

  • Support client departments in preparation of annual operating plans, budgets, and preparation of periodic forecasts.
  • In charge to aligned and coordinate budget transfer;

 

Business support

  • Develop strong partnerships with internal clients to ensure open lines of communication; including participation in management meetings for client groups; serve as a business advisor to clients and ensure there is a shared understanding of risks and opportunities associated with business activities;

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-8 years working experience in finance
  • Designated accounting professional or MBA strongly preferred
  • Strong ability to work with complex information systemsExperienced team leader and coach
  • Able to balance competing demands and manage team resources to ensure priorities are dealt with appropriately
  • Very strong communicator- able to deal with multiple levels in the organization and ensure that the right information gets into the hands of those who need it
  • Process minded, understands how to leverage technology to drive short and long term efficiencies

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
