The Bell Mobility team offers a full range of wireless products and services for residential and business customers, including the largest selection of superphones on the fastest and most advanced network technology.
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, M2M & Business Solutions, the Solution Manager role is an integral component in driving Bell Mobility's IoT growth and business solutions by aligning the Solution consultants with market requirements and objectives for the regional sales targets. The successful candidate will have the regional accountability for IoT and business solutions Metrics.
Your team will be accountable for proactively delivering results from net new business as well as driving results within the existing customer base. The Solutions Manager will also be required to maintain a solid understanding of new products and services as they become available and relate this knowledge all teams on a regular basis.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will support and manage a high-performing team of 6 solution consultants and 3 solution architects and a M2M Coordinator across the two western regions (West & BC), including the following activities:
- Support and develop Solution Consultants including IoT staffing, training, weekly funnel results and forecast and objective performance reviews.
- Support and develop Solution Architects and M2M Coordinator including IoT staffing, training, quarterly MBO management and development of new professional service offerings.
- Engage in new business development and funnel management activities, including highlight areas of improvement and developing addressing action plans.
- Develop and execute appropriate sales strategies with the team supporting business sales channels to meet activation and revenue targets.
- Liaison with other teams and business units within Bell to leverage resources required to execute take-to-market strategy for M2M solutions.
- Interface with key partners and hardware marketing for solutions and applications implementation.
- Develop and deliver presentations and proposals for IoT & wireless solutions including responding to RFP’s.
- Develop strategic planning to properly assist sales to uncover new IoT opportunities based on built-in experience on implemented solutions
- Determines the requirements for the transition of customer applications from test or pilot mode to production mode. Analyzes support training needs for the customer's help desk;
- Collaboration with Account Executives and fulfillment to set up service level expectations for data orders per enterprise accounts
- Working with key product and channel partners for configuring, trials and delivery of next generation wireless products.
- Providing regional performance tracking and analysis across IoT portfolio.
- Liaison with other teams and business units within Bell to leverage resources required to deliver packaged and customized solutions.
Supporting M2M
- Take to market mindset to drive integration/rollout of M2M solutions across business channels: F2F sales team, VAR teams and Dealer teams
- Help expand and optimize IoT service offerings and support, across channels, including collaborating and supporting service development initiatives with solution architects and broader PS team
- Thought leadership on IoT strategic planning centered on offerings, support structure and opportunity prioritization and partnership strategy.
- Facilitate national knowledge management around M2M verticals
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
It is expected that this individual has an advanced understanding of wireless solutions including networks, applications, and integration requirements for mobile devices or other hardware. Ability to translate technical issues into business benefits as well as conduct in depth technical discussions.
The incumbent will bring several years of telecommunications experience including superior analytical skills, solid business acumen and strong customer focus and experience in working with external customers.
In addition, the incumbent must have:
- Experience in managing teams and resolving issues across multi-discipline functions
- Experience working in a sales environment
- Be able to communicate effectively and give presentations to various audiences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to work effectively with virtual and multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in meeting numerous requests and deadlines
- Independent and self motivated
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong organizational skills, including ability to plan, coordinate and manage multiple projects and priorities
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of IT, Networking
- Be mobile and have a valid driver’s license.
