Includes corporate and operational finance, internal teams support, the controllers group, internal audit and risk advisory services, taxation, treasury, corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.

 

The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in the financial management and analysis. We are looking for a dynamic and responsible self-starter, who is detail-oriented with strong leadership skills and a forward thinking ability. The candidate will work closely with various Business stakeholders to provide detailed financials on New Product Introduction and/or Efficiency projects for Wholesale and Bell Business Markets and provide Executives with all required facts to take sound decisions. Will also support and facilitate the Governance process and ensure adherence to the Policy of Authorization and SOx compliancy.

 

Job Duties / Accountabilities:

  • Preparing detailed financials on New Product Introduction and/or Efficiency projects, including key financial metrics (Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Contribution Margin, etc.)
  • Working with extended teams such as Sales, Product and Finance to assist with preparation of the presentation files by screening and gathering approvals from various stakeholder groups (Commodity Tax, Regulatory, Operations, Legal and Controllers)
  • Presenting all the facts to Executives, including financials, associated risks and mitigation plan
  • Ensuring required approvals are obtained as per corporate governance
  • Overseeing and enforcing governance process for Wholesale

 

Critical Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience, ideally in the Telecom environment
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with great autonomy
  • Strong financial skills and knowledge (e.g., management reporting processes, IFRS, SOx)
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and establish strong relations with remote business partners
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications (notably Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent speaking, writing and listening skills
  • Strong organizing and planning skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, manage a number of projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Bilingual (French and English)

 

Other Assets:

  • Knowledge of Bell Canada financial tools and systems
