Responsibilities:
Entertainment Specialty Digital is seeking a creative and experienced Web Developer to join our team supporting the digital assets for The Loop, Bravo, The Comedy Network, and SPACE. The Web Developer will be working collaboratively with other web developers, content producers and designers, as well as members of the web, broadcast and mobile teams. The ideal candidate is an accomplished digital developer and experienced in both the television and digital media landscapes. This position requires a flexible, self-starter who is keen to be immersed in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the day to day technical production of websites
- Working closely with art directors and designers to ensure that creative intent and results are achieved at the highest level in the front end
- Adaptation of current properties into mobile and other platforms
- Participate in requirement reviews, and provide feedback regarding clarification or proposed changes
- Contribute to the definition, maintenance, and adherence to department development best practices and standards
- Familiarization with all Entertainment Specialty brands and programming
- Work with management to define and evolve product vision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or industry related experience.
- 2-5 years experience as a Web Developer
- Working knowledge of PHP
- Expert knowledge of front end technologies (HTML 5, responsive design, CSS 3)
- Experience with responsive frameworks (Bootstrap 3)
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator
- Experience with MySQL
- Ability to hand code Javascript, and experience using javascript frameworks such as Jquery
- Extensive experience with customizing Wordpress themes and the Wordpress codex
- Experience with Web Services and SOA architecture
- Intermediate knowledge of server technologies (LAMP, IIS)
- Version control systems (SVN, Git)
- Knowledge of ad serving technologies (Dart, GPT)
- Able to implement and customize analytics code (Omniture, Google Analytics)
- Experience with modern web application work flows (Grunt, Yeoman, Bower)
- Experience with web video technologies (HTML5 video, Flash video)
- Analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to write in a clear creative manner to meet tight deadlines utilizing web based production toolsets
- A self-motivator who is able to manage multiple tasks and meet deliverables in a timely manner
