Position: Technical Operator (Part Time) – 2 positions

Location: CTV Kitchener, ON

Salary:

Bargaining Unit Unifor , Local 712M

Group IV   Min. $19.68-$29.65/hr

Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: Part time work as needed including shift work – evenings, weekends and on Holidays.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The technical operator will work in a variety of positions within the technical operations department throughout their shift as dictated by operational requirements.
  • The operating functions include: Studio Camera, ENG Camera, lighting, audio, Feed & Play, and nonlinear editing.
  • Provide back up as a live eye operator.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year current work experience as a technical operator in an “on-air” operations environment.
  • Post-Secondary education in Broadcasting.
  • The successful applicant must demonstrate a high degree of adaptability and must be committed to learning in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to deal with multiple demands and pressure of on-air deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team, and be self-motivated.
  • Candidates must be capable of lifting and carrying camera equipment (approx. 20-30 pounds).
  • A valid G class driver’s license and a good driving record are required.
