Name & Description of Hiring Department:
Bell Canada’s Treasury Department provides support to the Bell Canada group companies in the following areas: Treasury Operations, Capital Markets & Banking, Insurance & Rating Agencies and Pension and Benefits Administration. The Treasury Department is comprised of some 40 employees who are specialists in their respective fields. We are currently looking for a candidate to fill a position in our Payment Channel and Project area of Treasury Operations. The candidate needs to possess strong organizational and analytical skills.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Senior Manager Finance (Treasury Operations):
- Compile and analyze Bell’s credit card statistics
- Receive and process requests from business units for new credit card merchant numbers
- Maintain up-to-date database of card merchant numbers for Bell
- Work with Bell departments and external service providers to resolve issues around customer remittances, credit cards and other payment types
- Initiate investigations into credit card chargeback’s, fraudulent transactions and other similar issues
- Support projects that drive value/ reduce costs eg. Dynamic Discounting of Payables
- Work with internal Bell stakeholders to develop innovative solutions to operational challenges
- Complete banking documentation to facilitate securities trading
- Track and reconcile Bell’s investments and securities
- Promote Treasury’s policies incl. use of electronic payment solutions
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from Senior Management in Finance and other departments, as required
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- B. Commerce (concentration in Finance an asset)
- 3-5 years experience in Treasury/Banking environment (or related field)
- Knowledge of Bell’s financial systems an asset
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work under pressure to deadlines
- Strong leadership and analytic abilities
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Adaptable and team player
