Name and description of the hiring department:

The Associate Recruitment will be responsible for supporting the selection process from start to finish; she will perform calls relating to the recruitment of non management in all business units at Bell, and will update the various files and databases used to track staffing activities.

The successful candidate must have relevant knowledge and a general interest in our sphere of activity. The Associate Recruitment reports to the Talent Acquisition, Manager.

 

 Job Duties / Accountabilities: 

  • Act as contact person for candidates who wish to apply for non management position at Bell.
  • Be methodical and use critical judgment in carrying out the preliminary analysis and sorting of applications received.
  • Carry out telephone interviews relating to the competencies and requirements of each position.
  • Inform applicants of the details regarding the next steps of the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate in-person interviews with the hiring managers of the various business units by giving them the appropriate information.
  • Maximize the efficiency and speed of the recruitment process while preserving a high level of quality and integrity.
  • Perform various administrative duties, such as:
    • Planning psychometric tests for applicants.
    • Updating the candidate tracking system and database.
  • Participate and collaborate actively in hiring activities such as job fairs, open house days and career days.
  • Provide feedback to identify opportunities or problems relating to applicant profiles or changes in the applicant pool.
  • Support other recruiters as required.
  • Follow and respect the company’s recruitment policies and practices.


Essential Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Two years experience in recruitment.
  • Knowledge of the legislation pertaining to human resources (labour standards, human rights, etc.) and recruitment policies.
  • Working knowledge of recruitment tools.
  • English, fluent in the language with no significant limitation.
  • French, fluent in the language with no significant limitation.
  • Ms Word intermediate level.
  • MS Excel intermediate level.
  • MS Outlook intermediate level.
  • Proficient keyboarding skill in both official  languages.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, and sense of priorities.
  • Ability to reason and make decisions independently.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to establish rapport with people in abstract circumstances (over the telephone).
  • Strong ability to adapt; ability to work under pressure and handle several files simultaneously.
  • Excellent listening skills, empathy.
  • Ability to read quickly, analyze, deduce and summarize.
  • Conscientiousness; meticulousness, attention to detail; team spirit.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced and efficient environment.
  • Strong focus on customer service and quality.


Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Certificate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management.


Working Conditions:

  • Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., according to business needs.
  • Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to business needs.
