Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will have overall responsibility for the retention, growth and management of Bell revenue related activities associated with products, services, contracts, orders, billing credits, and sales proposals.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for Opportunity Identification and Qualification (70% of the time) and engaging the proper specialist to work on the qualified opportunities.
  • Accountable to prospect – search and find new opportunities (cold calling)
  • Opportunity owner (30% of your time) – pick up qualified opportunities and work through to close (including negotiations and contract signing)
  • Prime the account planning process – set strategic direction for the account and author the account plan
  • Effectively prepare for client meetings and respond to proposals within your territory
  • Establish/manage relationships with key internal and external partners to support delivery of Bell Business Market customers expectations
  • Negotiate and interact with customers with Bell’s best interest and account level goals in mind
  • Ownership of all success metrics - revenue, gross margin and contract bookings, win rate of sales team (new sales not run rate business)
  • Will have a sales quota which focuses on growth services and renewals
  • Responsible for growing the business with assigned customers by developing and executing innovative sales strategies
  • Experience asking customers for their business, with a history of delivering with discipline, while adhering to the ‘Sales Process’
  • Ability to prospect and identify opportunities while developing strong customer relationships
  • Strong negotiations skills
  • Facility for risk taking
  • Demonstrated strength in understanding and influencing team dynamics
  • Vision and full grasp of business issues

 

What should you know (practical/technical):

  • Understand the customer’s business, people, budget, projects Identify & qualify opportunities and assemble Bell assets & resources to pursue them
  • Fearless call planning and customer meetings
  • Industry knowledge
  • Consistent messaging and sales strategy across the customer
  • Knowledge and application of Bell’s capabilities to customer problems – Know what is in the kit bag and sell it
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Account & Opportunity Management

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Telecommunications industry selling technical customer solutions
  • Technical and sales breadth coupled with depth in one or more of the following areas: 
    • Network: understanding of Telecommunication networks (MANs, WANs), including IP, Frame Relay, LAN, Internet Interconnectivity leveraging Wired and Wireless technologies
    • Systems and Storage: Services & Solutions, Hardware platforms, Virtualization
    • Managed Services: Hosted Solutions, Network Management, Contact Centres; Wireless
    • Professional / Consulting Services: Security, Outsourcing, Systems Integration, Converged Communications
    • Routing and Switching Technology: related to various Hardware platforms

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
