The function of Sales Specialist, Video & Unified Communications requires a candidate who possesses the ability to scan the current and changing environment and assist in a variety of ways to both develop and support the growth of the Video businesses with a focus on Bell’s Network Solutions portfolio of products and services.
This requires a candidate who possesses the ability to effectively sell solutions to large corporations in a matrix team selling environment. The candidate must possess flexibility and tolerance to ambiguity, and strong business acumen. The candidate must be the consummate Solution Specialist – able to function at the executive level and capable of hunting with and independent from, other sales team members.
Main Accountabilities:
* Opportunity Identification & Ownership
* Systematically working through accounts
* Develop, present and refine solutions by major category (see below), with upgrade/enhancement opportunities identified:
* Video solutions
* Hardware
* Software
* Professional Services
* Managed Services
* Hosted Services
* Email, Calendaring and Contacts
* Directory Services
* Microsoft Lync/OCS on permise solutions:
* Voice, Video, Presence and Instant messaging
* Professional Services
* Software/ Licensing
* Directory Services
* Associated Professional services:
* Network Engineering Professional Services
* Architecture, Design and Implementation Services (ADS/ADA)
* Project Management
* Related Solutions:
* Wireless infrastructure
* Mobility (Cell, Blackberry, etc)
* Conferencing solution(s)
* Collaboration tools
* Tracking and managing a personal funnel within an assigned territory:
* Own the “Video Solutions” portfolio opportunities to drive opportunities to conclusion.
* Engage the appropriate resources from the Voice, Network, Wireless, Cabling, Conferencing, Video and Managed Services Specialists from the Network Solutions organization for complex solutions involving multiple portfolios; Provide overall solution vision, co-ordination and opportunity management
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
* Clear and recognized experience and expertise in a broad range of Network Solution technologies: Networking, Video and Unified Communications concepts and technologies
* It is desirable to have experience with VOIP/PBX Solutions, email/IM, Security, Storage, Contact Centre, Web, ERP/MRP/CRM and Wireless specialties
* Experience with the application of technologies to solve business problems, and drive enterprise growth
* Proven comfort prospecting/gathering data at the Executive Level
* Clear, proven sales skills
* Ability to forecast the next steps in the opportunity cycle and manage an opportunity to contract.
* Proven ability to translate customer problems to Bell solutions and communicate these both internal to Bell and within the customer’s environment
* Ability to work with internal partners and alliances
* Experience in working with the vendor community to ensure that a solution is delivered per the requirements set out by the customer
* Experience working with BBM customers
