Name and description of the hiring department:
The Employee Services group is responsible for providing support to employees of Bell Canada and its subsidiaries. These services include payroll administration, human resources transactions, and management of unionized employee transfers including Employees Discount Plan.
The assistant, Group HR transaction is responsible for interpreting, for analyzing, for explaining rules, and Human Resources policies. She confirms all the HR transactions of various levels of complexity with the applicants of all Bell Canada’s entities and assures the integrity of the information while meeting the very tight deadlines of execution and the high quality level planned by the agreements of service negotiated with our customers. She acts as intermediary between the various groups internal and external customers to assure the update and the preservation of the files of employees and retiree and the organizational structure of Bell Canada and their subsidiaries. She also makes recommendations with regard to the transactions and on the working processes such as the entries of data and has to support the administrative assistants and assure that the terms is respected.
Job Duties / Accountabilities:
- Receive internal and external customer requests by telephone and in writing, analyze and reply to them within very precise timeframes, being sure to make the necessary corrections to avoid errors in payroll or benefits
- Receive, analyze different documents related to benefits and treat them in different tools
- Guide employees in HR administrative in using the various self-serve tools and refer them to the appropriate parties when necessary
- Identify and evaluate problems and suggest appropriate solutions to the people responsible in order to contribute to improving our processes
- Answer the requests of the customers and supply them the necessary coaching on the application of the processes and the HR policies as well as on the governmental legislations
- Extract, handle, to investigate the reports of differences to assure the quality of the data and correct if necessary
- Compile or extract statistics / reports to make the analysis while using various tools and databases
Essential Qualifications / Competencies:
- Bilingualism: French and English (read, spoken, written), fluent in the language with no significant limitation
- MS Word intermediate level
- MS Excel intermediate level
- Ability to work and develop in a constantly changing environment comprising multiple priorities, fluctuations in volume, and tight deadlines
- Ability to deal with and influence sometimes difficult employees and customers, while demonstrating empathy, diplomacy and tact
- Very detail oriented in order to ensure the accuracy of information provided to customers
- Make quickly decisions, identify the obstacles, take the appropriate actions, show initiative and judgment and propose solutions and improvements to the processes
- Provide accurate information to customers by telephone and in writing
- Be recognized for team working
Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:
- Good knowledge of SAP
- Basic knowledge of group insurance and RRSPs
- Call centre experience
Working Conditions:
- Regular business hours - Occasional overtime
