Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.
Bell Canada’s Business Market Group (BBM) with offices in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, Edmonton and Calgary. BBM is in charge of delivering scalable, integrated, end-to-end solutions to the largest organizations in Canada including government, healthcare, financial, manufacturing, utilities, transportation, and retail industries.
The BBM Staffing Office is in charge of sourcing of talent attraction for contractual resources for the delivery of BBM solutions.
We’ve come a long way in the past few years and have ambitious goals for the years to come. We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant, Recruitment for our Ottawa Office who will share our drive to continually find the best qualified person for the best job.
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of the Staffing Office, your key responsibilities as a Consultant, Recruitment will include:
- Act as the ‘single point of contact’ for the Ottawa group of hiring managers, business unit leaders and sales representatives;
- Drive the execution of the recruitment lifecycle, including, but not limited to, creating job postings, sourcing candidates, pre-screening resumes, phone screen candidates and making recommendations to hiring managers and practice leaders;
- Work closely with Bell’s group of staffing vendors and maintain excellent working relationships;
- Maintain your network of contacts in order to attract top talent;
- Maintain metrics on close ratios;
- Be comfortable to attend senior leadership meetings to provide status ;
- Effectively utilize Bell’s Vendor Management System and partners when necessary.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Be a “Career Recruiter” and be a recognized leader in the field of Recruiting;
- Have built a large network of qualified, top-notch contractors/candidates;
- Thrive in a rapidly growing organization and be eager to contribute to new programs, procedures, ideas and practices, while adopting those already established;
- Demonstrate autonomy and sense of initiative;
- Have experience in developing, implementing and project managing new recruitment practices and projects;
- Have extensive experience in both public (municipal, provincial or federal) and private industry recruitment best practices (knowledge of financial industry is a plus);
- Will be a forward thinker and will be well versed in the newest and most progressive ways of sourcing candidates;
- Will be well-versed in social networking tools
Although previous recruitment experience is essential, it will be your ease of forming new relationships, handling competing priorities and understanding how to source an array of technical requirements that will be a key success factor in this role.
You bring experience recruiting for both public and private sector clients, a knowledge of Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) and recruiting against RFP requirements (grid/matrix completion) and excellent negotiation skills combined with experience in negotiating contractor rates.
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
