The Procurement Organization manages all aspects of sourcing & procurement within Bell/BCE. The Procurement Department’s mission is to create value through its strategic role of providing best-in- class sourcing solutions while improving Bell’s EBITDA through cost reductions. This is achieved through:
- The negotiation of agreements and other legal documents on behalf of Bell/BCE and its Supplier community, setting the terms and conditions for the provision of products and services to Bell/BCE while optimizing Bell’s opportunities for improvements to EBITDA through reduced costs.
- Overall management of key outsourcing and sourcing arrangements to maximize value aligning with strategic evolution of supply chain and EBITDA objectives.
Job duties/accountabilities:
We are seeking a candidate to join BCE’s Procurement Organization. The Procurement team’s primary focus is to significantly reduce the cost of doing business for Bell Canada to align with corporate priorities, objectives and internal customer needs through increasing operational efficiency and productivity. This portfolio is high profile and considered key in meeting the business requirements:
- Lead sourcing initiatives
- Manage portfolio of commercial contracts and vendor relationships
- Drive total cost of ownership reduction , through joint process improvements with supplier
- Re-negotiate contracts in those situations not addressed by ‘strategic initiatives’
- Support and/or lead active strategic sourcing teams by serving as analytics coach and assisting with spend analysis.
- Implement and manage standard supplier performance management programs
- Manage, perform quality control, and generate reports on spend data
- Continually identify leading practices from inside and outside of Bell for implementation/adoption
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- University degree in Business Administration
- 2 – 4 years of general procurement /supply chain experience
- Basic knowledge of IT provisioning and planning knowledge
- Strong negotiation skills required to build out procurement related strategies
- Superior communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, statistics knowledge and experience required
- Proven ability to create unique solutions to manage and/or analyze data
- Ability to persuade others / sell concepts and idea
- Excellent prioritization skills
- Results orientation; resilience in face of complexity
- Unrelenting attention to detail
- Demonstrated and tenacious problem solver
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Varied Telco experience and understanding of Product Management, Planning, Provisioning, Operations (applications, software licensing, hardware,…)
- Understanding and expertise in data manipulation, sorting and analysis tools (Excel, SAP, Ariba, etc.) is a strong asset
- Bilingual (English/French)
