A challenging and interesting opportunity for a motivated individual is open in the Bell Corporate Security – Customer Relations team.
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager responsible for the Restricted Supplier Program, the Senior Specialist – Restricted Supplier Program will be responsible for managing the execution of the Restricted Supplier program across BCE and its affiliated companies. The incumbent will be responsible for interfacing with Procurement, Legal, Network, IT, and other teams involved in the selection and contracting of suppliers to ensure that all suppliers adhere to Bell’s security requirements.
This position will include other areas of relations with Government customers depending on the skill set of the candidates.
Job duties / accountabilities:
Through effective leadership, coordination, communication, and training, the incumbent must ensure that the work is conducted with the utmost integrity and professionalism in the best interest of the Company, and that sufficient preventative security measures are in place and effective.
The incumbent’s main responsibilities are:
- Work with internal teams to document use of Restricted Supplier equipment within Bell.
- Work with internal teams to understand technology rollout plans and co-ordinate security testing of new software.
- Define internal test plans and co-ordinate as required.
- Co-ordinate internal steering committee and working group meetings.
- Review supplier activity on gateway platforms to ensure compliance to Bell policies.
- Develop roadmap for controls needed to address supplier issues.
- Ensure control architecture meets all needs in conjunction with Corporate Security Information Security Architecture and other teams.
- Interface with Suppliers, Government, Testing Labs and other third parties as required.
- Prepare and maintain annual Cyber Security Plans.
- Gather evidence and artifacts to demonstrate compliance to Cyber Security Plans.
- Monitor Working Group members in other departments to ensure deliverables are met and appropriate evidence submitted.
- Develop internal testing capabilities in conjunction with other teams.
- Provide Governance and Oversight for access requests and monitor which supplier staff has access to Bell information, networks, and systems.
- Address security issues and gaps with Supplier and develop action plans to remediate.
Essential skills / competencies:
- College degree or a University education.
- Excellent oral, written, and group communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure; strong analytical / problem-solving skills with attention to detail, creative and good business judgement.
- Excellent negotiating, decision making, organizational, and administrative skills.
- Strong team player; demonstrates initiative; has a strong desire to succeed.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and flexible with the ability to adapt to a complex and quickly-changing environment.
- Advanced computer skills: proficient in MS Office, and ability to quickly learn proprietary systems.
- Ability to balance risks to the company against requirements of individual projects and initiatives.
- Familiarity with network technologies used in Bell and Network Architectures for Wireless RAN, GPON, and other technologies.
- Familiarity with Bell Technology Introduction and Rollout processes.
Preferred skills/competencies:
- Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other similar credentials.
- Experience dealing with suppliers of varying sizes and security maturity.
- Bilingual English and French (written and oral) is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Must pass a security clearance check including criminal record check.
- Must be able to obtain a Government of Canada Security Clearance at a minimum of SECRET/Level 2 level.
- Occasional travel both domestically and internationally may be required.
NOTE: All Corporate Security personnel are required to sign a letter of non-disclosure which prevents them from divulging sensitive information that they may be exposed to during their assignment. This policy is strictly enforced.
