Responsibilities:
- Reporting to Director of Corporate Communications and supported by corporate communications team, the Manager is responsible for strategic planning and execution of media relations and communication efforts for Bell Media Sales in English and French Canada.
- As a member of Canada’s leading media communications team, act as a liaison with Marketing & Innovation – Integrated Sales team to effectively position Bell Media Sales among the advertising community and trade press across Canada.
- Write and issue trade releases regarding BMS initiatives, including Brand Partnerships and Bell Media Mix executions
- Media inquiries, issues management (including advertising complaints)
- Executive support, including building the profile of the BMS management team and the unit in general.
- Contributing to increased sales results and providing added value to clients.
- Contribute to external client communications (reporting updates) and social media communications.
- Contribute to internal communications (newsletters, award programs)
Qualifications:
- Preferably bilingual.
- Superior writing and editing skills.
- Copywriting experience preferable but not mandatory
- Completion of a public relations degree or equivalent with a minimum of five years’ experience in the communications/advertising/media/entertainment industry.
- Must have a demonstrable understanding and passion for media, including TV, radio, out-of-home, and digital.
- Must have experience working in a supervisory/management role and excel as a leader.
- Evidence of good working relationships with the trade press with a proven track record of innovative communications strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy. Superior ability to liaise professionally with members of the media and other internal and external contacts.
- Dynamic self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
