Position Overview:

The ability to think on a micro, detail oriented, level is the core skill each project manager must possess, but as the Senior Project Manager Shared Services, you will be required to expand your focus and think about the big picture. Your task of delivering a solution that transforms business operations and is transparent to the customer, will allow you to grow more than your project management skill set. You will be looked to as the visionary who can take a look at the project from a high enough level to allow our internal teams to see the end goal, and to help them get there one project or change at a time. Your vision will further be rendered through ample executive exposure, and working closely with operations and IT all with the aim of helping create business evolution and customer migration plans that will minimize resistance to change. The projects you will have in your portfolio are highly visible at all levels, whereby your contribution will not go unnoticed and your ability will be recognized.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

* Directing and managing project development from beginning to end
* Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
* Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
* Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
* Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
* Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
* Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
* Coaching, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
* Building, and developing, strong relationships with IT and Operations in order to ease the pains of transforming the business.
* Utilizing your ability to manage major technological changes with stakeholders at the end user level.
* Follow the Shared Service governance process to obtain appropriate stakeholder sign-off throughout the project life-cycle.

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

* 5-10 years of progressive project management experience, preferably including change management and business transformation components
* PMP or other project management certification
* Understanding of budget and cost management
* Solid understanding of technology and business concepts and language with the ability to express complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
* Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
* Strong familiarity with project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project
* Bilingual would be an asset
