The Bell Media Controllers Group, an integral part of the Bell Canada Controller’s team, is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the successful candidate will support the multimedia businesses of television, radio, out-of-home advertising, and digital media. The team will work closely with other finance groups, business units, subsidiaries and corporate groups.

Job Description:
Providing support to the Senior Manager across a diverse range of functions, this versatile and challenging position combines the elements of corporate accounting, financial reporting, accounting policies and special projects.
Accountabilities:
* Partner with finance, corporate groups, other controller teams and business operations to ensure the accuracy of financial results and compliance with controls
* Provide support to the finance community on diverse accounting issues and transactions
* Research and provide accurate accounting guidance that is in compliance with IFRS on accounting issues which at times are complex in nature
* Day to day involvement in ensuring appropriate accounting recognition for all business transactions
* Assist in the analysis and presentation of meaningful financial information to senior management as required
* Support the monthly closing and reporting of financial results through review and approval of monthly transactions
* Support the monthly closing and reporting of financial results through review of month end results and attendance at related meetings
* Support the monthly closing and reporting of financial results through rapid resolution of critical month end issues
* Assist in the management of financial and business risks including provisions relating to various exposures such as A/R
* Support the implementation of accounting changes and other process improvements
* Assist in the preparation of quarterly external reporting analyses
* Assist in the preparation of required legal and regulatory financial statements
* Assist in the review and management of balance sheet accounts
* Support internal & external audit requirements
* Monitor compliance activities through quality assurance reviews of processes and controls
* Assist in ongoing special projects such as process re-design and improvements
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
* Profession accounting designation (CPA) with excellent knowledge of IFRS and ongoing update of this knowledge
* Minimum 3 years of accounting and audit experience
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills, French and English
* Excellent analytical skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with senior management and other members of the team in a professional and efficient manner
* Must be a team player with strong interpersonal ability to manage virtual teams, work under pressure, manage tight deadlines and work overtime if required
* Strong organizational skills, reliable, autonomous and ability to handle multiple requests in order of priority
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of SAP, BW and Peats systems would be an asset
