NOC Manager

 

Astral Out-Of-Home is part of Bell Media, Canada's first multimedia company in the country. Bell Media owns assets in the areas of television, radio, outdoor advertising and digital media.

 

Job description

 

Reporting to the Director of Technology, your main task is to monitor our networks of digital products deployed across Canada. In a stimulating environment, you are supporting the seizure of incidents, the administrative monitoring and documentation. You resolve incidents related to network problems, software, and Level I and II materials. This position is based in Montreal and requires occasional travel throughout Canada. Compensation is to be determined based on your profile and your education.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Relationship with our sales department:

 

• Communicate by phone, electronically and in person to meet demands of the sales department on the status of our networks and the impact on ongoing campaigns.
• Provide, document and implement solutions to problems encountered.
• Ensure that the sales department receives all the necessary support to satisfaction of his specific need.
• Get in communication with the users to guide them in the use of different tools, platforms and systems.

 

 Technical support:

 

• Conduct quality control assessments by establishing and conducting test scenarios to ensure that systems and platforms used are within specification.
• Stay current in their field of expertise and make the necessary efforts to reach its professional development goals.
• Gather information for conducting an internal log with a range of solutions and advice for the use of tools, platforms and systems.
• Actively work to improve the tools and business processes.

Job requirements

 

• Knowledge of networking and Microsoft Windows environments.
• Configuration / Investigation / Support wireless modems (Bluetree, Sixnet, Microhard).
• Configuration / Investigation / Support Fortigates.
• Configuration / Investigation / Support IPSEC tunnels (in Fortigates, Sixnet and Others).
• Configuration / Investigation / Support PCs, with images and software related to our fields of activity.
• Configuration / Investigation / Network Support / switches / routing (basic).
• Knowledge of video compression formats and digital display platforms is an asset.
• College degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) and / or relevant experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Hold a valid driver’s license
