As the center for all security related matters for BCE, Corporate Security group is responsible for establishing, implementing, administering and enforcing BCE Canada's Security Policies.

 

Here is a challenging and interesting opportunity for motivated individuals to join the High security system group part of BCE Corporate Security. Under the supervision of the Senior Manager - High Security Systems, the chosen candidate will be responsible of developing and supporting applications under the responsibility of the High Security Systems (HSS) group.  Applications and systems maintained by HSS touch various activity spheres such as fraud detection, law enforcement services, emergency management, business continuity and Governance, Risk and Compliance programs.

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Conduct Business need analysis and produce design documents including detailed specifications.
  • Define the customer needs to meet security requirements for data classification.
  • Design solutions that meet the business needs of corporate security user group.
  • Program and test applications / solutions.
  • Develop strategies and quality test plans and ensure compliance with related standards.
  • Participate in the user acceptance testing to ensure that the systems meet business needs.
  • Plan, implement applications / solutions according to business restrictions
  • Develops documentation relating to the systems and applications (technical manuals and user guides).
  • Support the developed applications

 

Essential skills / competencies:

  • Bilingualism (French & English) is required.
  • Customer approach and good interpersonal skills to negotiate with the various stakeholders of a project.
  • Team player, motivated, demonstrates initiative and has a big desire for success
  • Thorough knowledge of the development process, including agile development methodologies
  • Strong leadership skills and good organizational skills
  • Excellent synthesis and analysis capabilities
  • Proven ability to deliver complex multiplatform solutions

 

Education, experience and technical skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in application development (design, programming, testing, documentation & support).
  • Programming with Java, JPA, Hibernate
  • Software Project Management Tool: Maven
  • Development environment: Eclipse
  • SQL (Oracle & Informix).
  • OS (Solaris, RedHat, Windows).
  • Knowledge of database design.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • JEE6 Technologies
  • Application Server: Glassfish
  • ETL: Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle)
  • Business Logic integration Platform: Drools
  • Hadoop (can be an asset)

 

Working Conditions:

  • Variable schedule for occasional put into production
  • Available for the support, (24/7) on a rotating schedule (~ 1 week to 2 months)

 

Additional Information:

  • A security assessment will be conducted for the selected candidate.

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
