Hours of work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
- Operates camera, lighting, audio and other related equipment.
- Performs duties of ENG Editor.
- Operates portable live transmission equipment.
- Posts content to Bell Media websites and social media as required.
- Respect Bell Media news standards.
- Other duties as required.
- The incumbent may be asked to train in the other categories in the Multitasker job category.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of news production experience.
- Proven camera and editing skills.
- Previous patroller experience and good of knowledge of scanners.
- General knowledge of local news issues.
- Excellent knowledge of Montreal geography and surrounding areas.
- Skilled in the use of computers and broadcast quality control equipment.
- Ability to analyse and resolve problems.
- Ability to work independently, under stress and deadlines.
- Ability to work overnight and alone and/or ability to work in a team.
- Understanding of basic journalistic practices.
- Experience with web and social media content an asset.
- Holds a valid driver’s license.
- Bilingual in English and French.
