Position:          Manager, Business Operations – 15 Month Contract

Location:         50 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto

Salary:             Commensurate with qualifications and experience

 

Description:

As Manager, Business Operations, the candidate will work with Canada's most popular online destination with millions of unique visitors experiencing its entertainment, information and communication services every month, who supports the National and Local Sales teams for all Bell Media online advertising Brands (CTV, TSN, RDS, Astral, Loop / Sympatico, etc…)

 

Due to the nature of the online advertising business there are tight deadlines to adhere to, last minute changes, and demanding clients.  On the upside it is a dynamic fun environment filled with interesting people, events and challenges. We are a rapidly evolving business unit in a hot and rapidly changing industry so being comfortable with change is a must.

 

Other Information:

This role requires focused, time sensitive data analysis for a growing number of records, providing clear and concise variance analysis and summaries.

 

Responsibilities:

 

DSM Management:

  • Maintain quality of data in DSM system
  • Ensure CRM data is properly set up
  • Enhancements for DSM system (e.g. adding new fields)
  • Act as prime resource for all DSM issues or enquiries
  • Liaise with DFP/DSM support on system issues, future releases, etc
  • Other admin tasks within DSM (e.g. manage user access, manage proposal templates, manage inventories, manage advertisers/agencies)

 

Project and Process Management:

  • Act as liaison between project team and business departments (sales, operations, revenue management and billing)
  • Actively involves in gathering and preparation of business requirements documentation for projects
  • Collaborate with various members of different departments to identify current process gaps and issues
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
  • Redesign business process to improve internal control and increase customer satisfaction
  • Communicate and present with stakeholders for process changes
  • Implement new processes and provide necessary training / instructions for Sales team
  • Maintain and control budget for projects

 

On-Boarding / Training:

  • Create user access for new Sales Reps, Accounts Managers, etc. in DSM
  • Provide on-board DSM training for Sales Reps, Account Managers, etc.
  • Provide lead to cash workflow process training for sales reps, account managers, etc.
  • Coordinate refresher trainings on new functionalities, changes in the system
  • Create and maintain training documentation

 

Reporting / Analysis:

  • Audit of sales and revenue data between different orders processing systems, and identify variances by providing useful summary reports.
  • Prepare monthly revenue allocation files for Much/MTV
  • Run sales forecast report on a weekly basis for sales reps

 

Other

  • Support Sales and Operations as a key resource in the Operations department
  • Coach and supervise coop students

 

Preferred Skills / Competencies:

  • High level of proficiency in Ad Servers and CRM tools such as DSM
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel/ Outlook and Windows
  • Financial Analysis
  • Online Advertising
  • Business Acumen
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

 

Experience

 

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • 2 years + related experience in Order to Cash, Business Process, Business Systems Architecture and Management preferably with an ad industry, media, sales and/or marketing agency/publisher
  • Proven experience in Business / System Administration
  • Proven experience in Training / Facilitating
