The Manager, Real Estate Opex responsible for establishing and coordinating budgeting system and procedures; compiling, monitoring and analyzing a consolidated annual budget plan; and typically, for monitoring actual performance against budget.  Responsible for annual budget and supporting 3 to 5 financial forecasts.  Responsible for the supervision of the budget staff.  The incumbent also plays an important role by providing business consulting services and conducting special studies for the Finance and Network senior management teams.

The incumbent will report directly to the Director – Wireless Implementation (National) and will have an opportunity to work in a highly visible, constantly evolving, stimulating and dynamic environment.

 

The main responsibilities of the Manager are as follows:

  • Transaction management Accounts Payable and Receivable in coordination with Special Billing
  • Financial and operational unit costs of the Real Estate. Develop, maintain and present analyses / models providing information on the Network Group’s unit costs, volumes and projects
  • Working closely with the business to understand and evaluate key business trends and to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results/metrics that incorporate the business story in the variance analysis
  • Partner with internal organizations and leaders to ensure accurate reporting
  • Support the operations with monthly financial reporting and specific analysis
  • Prepare month end financial management reports for Finance and Business Executives
  • Perform adhoc analysis & special reports to support decision making and the resolution of issues
  • Recommend and implement “process improvement” identifying areas of overlap and potential efficiency gains
  • Handle requests for the analysis/preparation of reports on key financial and operational metrics
  • Develop, communicate, implement and maintain effective tools & processes to facilitate decision making linked with key operations drivers and financial metrics
  • Prepare analyses and presentations for Senior Management
  • Act as a catalyst for change and identify opportunities for cost rationalization


Qualifications/Competencies:

  • A Commerce or MBA degree, or professional designation (CMA, CA, CGA)
  • 5 to 7 years experience in Finance, in an analytical role
  • Engineering or Network experience a definite asset
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability
  • Results driven with a focus on producing high quality work under tight deadlines
  • Sound business acumen
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to partner and develop strong relationships with cross functional groups, key suppliers and clients
  • Knowledge of Bell financial systems and process including SAP
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Bilingual (English/French)

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
