Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.

 

Responsibilities:
The CTV Programming department has an exciting opportunity for an individual with a sharp eye for detail and a willingness to learn.  Working within the Rights Management team this position entails a broad mix of responsibilities and requires a flexible, self-starter who is keen to be immersed in an agile, team-based environment. Reporting to the Director, Rights Management, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Tracking media rights across multiple broadcast and digital platforms
• Review of contracts and  Program Rights documentation
• Data entry of details and parameters into a master database
• Communication and distribution of  information related to Program Rights to internal and external stakeholders
• Working alongside scheduling teams to develop an understanding of broadcast schedules and their business impact 
• Support of the Rights Management team in day to day activities
• Other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:
• University education with minimum two years relevant experience
• Detail oriented, with strong organizational and proofreading skills
• Able to work independently, as well as in a collaborate team environment, with well-developed interpersonal skills
• Lateral Thinker; Strong analytical and problem solving skill set
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge and understanding of broadcast license agreements; Business Affairs or Contract Administration  background an asset
• Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple, often competing priorities
• Knowledge of  the broadcast industry
• Eager to learn new skills and processes, with the confidence to take initiative; including readiness to learn new software and the use of database programs
• Familiarity with broadcast scheduling (IBMS, BOSS, Broadview) and/or Rights Management software (Media Maestro, Rights Logic, Jaguar) an asset
