The Bell Mobility team offers a full range of wireless products and services for residential and business customers, including the largest selection of superphones on the fastest and most advanced network technology.
Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, the Senior Manager, Supply Chain helps drive the business by providing direction and leadership to Bell’s Supply Chain partners and Distribution Center team. The Manager leads the implementation of supply chain initiatives, including developing appropriate freight and product costing strategies, ensure objectives are fully met and effectively communicated to all stakeholders. In addition they will be required to lead a team and develop strong relationships with partners and team. The Manager is responsible for the daily operational requirements within the facility including planning, decision-making and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
* Work Closely with 3PL provided to ensure SLA’s are met while continually striving to better optimize labour and material usage to minimize operational costs
* Work closely with transportation providers to control and minimize annual freight spend
* Develop total implementation of distribution best practices such as systems integration and optimization, inventory control, and demand planning
* Forecast and plan projected materials requirements and manage the pipeline of assigned materials activity to ensure adequate resources are applied to improve cost control, volume changes, delivery accuracy and inventory availability
* Develop and manage internal and external relationships with Partners pursuing opportunities to add value throughout distribution network
* Conduct business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for legal and environmental regulations
* Analyze short and long-term inventory status reports, including safety stock, and plan product movement and production scheduling accordingly
* Budget responsibility as assigned
* Providing timely and effective updates to all stakeholders informing progress, change, or issue resolution affecting their business areas
* Establish and maintain procedures, develop and implement training initiatives, and define and track performance metrics for the department
* Collaborate with other departments as needed to analyze and make recommendations for improvements
Requirements
* Ten plus years of progressive experience in supply chain managing a warehouse or DC (can be as a 3PL)
* Have a strong ability to build relationships internally and externally
* Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally internally and externally
* Strong ability to analyse data and operate in a metrics driven environment
* Ability to provide feedback and influence to the vendors
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally
* Possess experience elevating team performance while building and executing overall strategy
* Possesses an ability to make the correct strategic decisions when selecting accessories product line-up
* Experience managing a P&L operation
* Experience leading a team
* University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related area, Masters or Professional Designation preferred.
* Bilingual (French / English) an asset
